Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a ceasefire in the war against Hamas. Along with the United Nations approving the cease-fire resolution, Netanyahu has refused to do so when many countries in the world are calling for a cease-fire.
Writing on Twitter, he said that now is the time of war. He said that just as the US was not ready for a ceasefire after the September 11 attacks, the situation in Israel is the same now.
After Prime Minister Netanyahu announced the start of the second phase of the war against Hamas, the Israeli army reached the central area of Gaza by land. Eight thousand three hundred six people have died in Gaza so far due to Israel’s attack.
Among the dead in Gaza, 3,324 were children. More than 1,400 people died on the Israeli side. As Israel escalates ground operations, the risk of human casualties in the Gaza Strip has increased.
